When you use a power with the Shapechange tag, you keep your level and current HP but otherwise lose all your abilities and gain those of your target form.
When you use a power with the Charm tag, you cast a spell as if you were a Cleric/Wizard of your level.

Discern Reality (the beast): What does it do? It lurks near forest settlements waiting to pick off the weak and isolated.
Discern Reality (its lair): What happened here recently? A drake dragged its prey back to this den to rot before it is eaten.
ASHEN VAMPIRE. Level 5. HP 50, Armour 2. Damage 1d8.
Vulnerable to Metals, Suck Blood, Reborn, Ashen Cloak, Dominate.
Spout Lore: How can I prevent it from being reborn? Bury it on holy ground for a year and a day. How can I trap it? It cannot cross holy ground or enter a private dwelling without being invited. It’s afraid of fire and sunlight.
Discern Realities: What should I be on the lookout for? That mouse died inexplicably, right at his feet. What here is not as it appears to be? That man casts no reflection.
FIERY VAMPIRE. Level 5. HP 50, Armour 2. Damage 1d8.
Vulnerable to Metals, Suck Blood, Fly, Dominate, Fire Beetle Form, Singe.
Spout Lore: How can I trap it? It cannot cross holy ground or enter a private dwelling without being invited. It’s afraid of sunlight. How can I kill it? Submerge it fully in water.

New Monster Moves
Animal Form ● Shapechange: This creature can turn into a specific animal of level 4 or lower.
Ashen Cloak: Creatures with 2 or fewer HP, and small plants, die if the creature passes near them.
Ashen Cloud Form: The creature may take the form of a cloud of ash and smoke. It gains Blink and Cloud Attack but only does 1d4 damage and loses all other abilities except for Reform and Ashen Cloak.
Bloodscent: Once you’ve been bitten by this creature, the GM may always use the hard move the monster finds you.
Blood Spit: Once this creature has used the Suck Blood power, it gains a ranged attack that does 1d10 acid damage.
Conjure Darkness: For 1d6 rounds, this creature and its allies gain Blink and Never Surprised.
Dominate: When you meet this creature’s gaze, roll +Wis. On 7-9, choose 2. On 10+, choose 1.
- You follow the creature’s orders. Follow the command and mark XP, or Defy Danger to act freely.
- Take -1 ongoing to Wis until the creature is defeated or allows you to recover.
Fly: This creature can fly.
Improved Armour: This creature’s Armour increases by +1.
Improved Damage: This creature does damage of one die size higher.
Lose a Weakness: This creature does not have a typical weakness of its kind.
Reborn: If killed, the GM may use a hard move to have it return.
Singe: When the creature successfully attacks you, you also suffer 1d4 ongoing fire damage.
Summon Monster ● Charm: This creature can cast the Summon Monster spell as a charm.
Fire Beetle Form ● Shapechange: This creature can take Fire Beetle form.
Speedy: This creature always acts first in the initiative order.
Suck Blood: This creature heals half of the damage it does.
Vulnerable to Metals: Silver or cold iron weapons ignore this creature’s Armour.
